The band now known as Cameostate formed initially in 2002, with brothers Brendan and Vincent Casey and their bassist friend Damien O'Connell performing as an indie three piece. In 2003, the band went on sabbatical.
By Christmas 2005, the band had regrouped with a new lead singer - James Murphy. Shortly afterwards, drummer Barry O'Shea completed the line-up. Since then, we have been performing live regularly and writing new material.
Our first recording sessions were completed in Kildare in Summer '06. This demo contained four songs, and was engineered by Clique Recordings. More recently three new songs were self-recorded in Co.Kerry, among them Rome and Impossible Buildings, which are available for download here on our profile.
