Adam Green is best known for his work in the Moldy Peaches, a group he co-founded with singer Kimya Dawson. Following a hiatus from the band in early 2004 Green went solo and released several albums on Rough Trade records which include a string of well known songs such as Jessica ( written about singer Jessica Simpson ), Dance With Me, Carolina and Emily. He is also known for his cover of the Libertines hit What A Waster.
The Moldy Peaches popularity began to soar again recently mainly based on their music being included in the hit indie film Juno. The most notable of these songs is a duet between Adam Green and Kimya Dawson called “Anyone Else But You” which is featured in a scene with the films lead actors Michael Cera and Ellen Page performing the song together.
