Described by Hot Press as one of the top ten live acts to see in Ireland, The
Carnival Saloon are a six-piece band who are renowned for their incredible live
performances featuring the music of Tom Waits.
They began life interpreting the songs of Tom Waits in the famous and now
defunct DA Club in Dublin, where they built up a huge cult following with their
mix of high-octane cabaret and jazz-influenced rock.
The band features some of Ireland's finest musicians, who have played with the
likes of George Martin (The Beatles), Mary Coughlan, Juliet Turner, Brian
Kennedy, Van Morrison, Paddy Casey and many more.
They are currently recording an album of original music inspired by Waits
amongst others and will be performing some tracks from this alongside fresh
interpretations of the Tom Waits catalogue on their current nationwide tour.
