Formed out of classroom friends, the original line-up of Stoo Fairhurst (drums) Dan Williams (gtrs) and Tim Smithen (bass & vocals) first came in to prominence as Kill Kenada in 2004, when they recorded a series of studio 7"s with Gordon Raphael (Strokes, Regina Spektor, to name a few).

In addition to their extensive touring, the band built a healthy buzz courtesy of accolades from such renowned publications as Rock Sound, Nme & Kerrang! magazine.

Their first three commercial releases on tiny London-based independent label, SUBverse Records, achieved early success at radio. Their first 7" release, 'Choke', being championed by the late John Peel & Zane Lowe (BBC Radio 1).

Their sound, much lauded by rock's media press, was compared to that of the band's musical heroes: Pixies and Sonic Youth.

In 2006, while they prepared themselves (along with new recruit James Eldridge - drums) to make the trip out to Chicago Illinois to record with Steve Albini, Kill Kenada put together a volume of songs - affectionately now known as 'the Pink Record'. This 11 trk collection of songs would mark the end of an era and that of the group's original line-up, ushering in a bigger more direct rock sound.

Already an early 2007 MTV2 favourite (no1 mtv2 rock chart-no1 mtv2/nme chart show) Kill Kenada look set to make their mark this year.
