The Walls were formed from the ashes of 'The Stunning' by brothers Steve and Joe Wall in 1998. They started their own record label Dirtbird Records and released a string of singles as well as their first album 'Hi-Lo' in 2000. It went Gold in Ireland on the back of good airplay and constant touring. Their second album 'New Dawn Breaking' went Top 5 last year. "Their best work to date"-according to The Sunday Times. Some compared it to Wilco's 'A Ghost is Born'. It is amongst the top selling home releases of 2005. The Walls have supported the likes of U2, Bob Dylan and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers as well as touring regularly at home and abroad.
In March 2006 they went to the United States where they played to packed houses in New York, LA and Austin Texas as part of the SXSW Music festival. KCRW’s Nic Harcourt has been playing tracks from the album and invited the band to perform a live session on his show “Morning Becomes Eclectic”. They are currently writing and recording material for their third album.
