2026 marks the 20th anniversary of Belfast’s Duke Special incredible album ‘Songs from the Deep Forest’. In this very special celebration concert, expect the album in its entirety as well as songs from Duke’s much loved back catalogue. To coincide with the anniversary, the revered album will be released on vinyl for the first time in May 2026.
Duke Special rose to prominence with his debut album Songs from the Deep Forest (2006), which became one of Ireland’s best-selling records that year and earned him a nomination for the Choice Music Prize. Known for his theatrical style and vintage aesthetic, he delivered standout performances at major festivals such as Glastonbury and Electric Picnic. His success was further cemented when he won the 2007 Meteor Music Award for Best Irish Male, alongside additional nominations in subsequent years. Beyond awards, his collaborations with orchestras and involvement in theatre productions have highlighted his versatility and contributed to his strong critical reputation as a distinctive and imaginative songwriter.
